Fabio hears beautiful Isabella singing and is captivated, proving that love is not only blind, but deaf too. Isabella’s devious servant, Columbina, schemes to bring them together, but without a fortune, Fabio stands no chance. Isabella is promised to Arturo, the rich, mean and lecherous town official. Columbina hatches a plot to bring the lovers together and mayhem ensues.
